The shear-out safety joint is a safety device during well completion operation. In the event of an emergency or as required by the construction, the upper and lower parts of the tool can be separated by pulling string and shearing out the shear pins to ensure that the upper part of the tool and the tubing can be pulled out of the well.
Features:
● Simple design consisting of only two body parts;
● Convenient operation of pulling string to disconnect;
● Pressure rating up to 10,000psi;
● The shear strength can be adjusted by adding or removing shear pins;
● The two main body parts are joined together via milled finger sections which can effectively transmit torque.
