The blast joint is positioned opposite the perforations in the casing, it is used in the tubing string of a flowing well to prevent tubing damage caused by the jetting action of the flowing well. The blast joint has the same ID of standard tubing and OD of coupling. This thick wall pipe design provide maximum protection of the tubing by isolation of the erosive section from the standard tubing. The blast joint is available in 10ft or 20ft lengths, or specified lengths if required.
